Consistency

Why do pole 3 times per week? or more!

Consistency is key in any form of physical training, and pole dancing is no exception. Much like going to the gym regularly, practicing pole dancing at least three times a week can yield noticeable results faster. Here's why:

  • Muscle Memory Development: Pole dancing requires strength, flexibility, and coordination. Regular practice helps develop muscle memory, where your body becomes accustomed to the movements and positions required. The more frequently you practice, the more ingrained these movements become, leading to smoother transitions and improved performance

  • Strength and Endurance: Pole dancing engages various muscle groups throughout the body, including the arms, core, legs, and back. By practicing consistently, you allow these muscles to adapt and strengthen over time. With regular training sessions, you'll gradually build the strength and endurance needed to execute more advanced moves and routines

  • Skill Progression: Like any skill-based activity, progression in pole dancing comes with practice. By committing to regular practice sessions, you give yourself ample opportunities to refine your technique, master new moves, and overcome challenges. Consistency enables you to progress through different skill levels more efficiently, as you continuously build upon what you've learned in previous sessions

  • Flexibility Improvement: Flexibility is crucial in pole dancing, as many moves require a wide range of motion. Practicing regularly helps improve flexibility by gradually stretching and lengthening the muscles. Over time, you'll notice increased flexibility, allowing you to achieve more advanced poses and transitions with greater ease

  • Confidence Boost: Consistent practice not only improves physical abilities but also boosts confidence. As you see yourself progressing and achieving your goals, you'll feel more confident in your abilities both on and off the pole. This increased confidence can positively impact your overall performance and enjoyment of pole dancing

  • Injury Prevention: Regular practice allows your body to adapt gradually to the demands of pole dancing, reducing the risk of injury. By consistently engaging in training sessions, you give your muscles, tendons, and joints the opportunity to strengthen and become more resilient over time, decreasing the likelihood of strains or overuse injuries

In essence, practicing pole dancing at least three times a week is akin to a dedicated gym routine—it's about committing to your goals, showing up consistently, and putting in the effort to see results. By prioritizing regular practice sessions, you'll not only notice faster progress but also develop a deeper connection to the art of pole dancing and reap the many physical and mental benefits it offers.

Anyone who knows me , I love my fitness , June this year I decided to take the plunge and try something new and challenging. I decided to try Pole Fitness, I did have reservations thinking I'm a 44 year old woman should I be doing this, but I convinced myself to give it a go...so i booked a taster lesson at https://www.poletwisters.co.uk/ and I loved it !! The confidence it has given me is tremendous, its massively helped with my anxiety, the benefits it has for your mental health and well being is fantastic, and body wise it's a great workout for your whole body . I have met some lovely ladies and made some new friends along the way .
