Back To Normal After The Snow

Carla & Lisa Broughton • Mar 20, 2018

Delays this week due to the red weather warnings here in Cardiff, but thankfully normal operation has resumed! Here's what we got up to this week.

We had a bit of a hectic time last week with classes and private sessions being postponed due to the snow and weather conditions. It was a bit disruptive but on the plus side, everyone got to stay home and enjoy the beautiful snow for a few days. We are now operating as usual thankfully!

We have a new Stage 2 group running which means that if you are waiting to begin or re-do Stage 3 you can start booking now!

We had a lovely full class at Monday's mixed ability which focused on some seated drops and handstand shapes which was super exciting! These sessions are suitable for all levels, even beginners! Don’t be put off expecting them to only cater to more experienced students – moves can be modified for all level! Mixed ability runs throughout the week subject to pre-bookings through our website.

Our gentleman student who we mentioned last week has completed quite a few private classes to develop the striptease he has been creating for his wife, and it is near perfection at last. If you would like to do the same, get in touch to booka private class in striptease, chair work or lap dance now. Perfect for building confidence, embracing your sexy side and impressing your partner! We offer a huge range of private classes hereat Pole Twisters, including burlesque, twerk, dancehall and of course pole – all taught by professional teachers.

Our friends at UpSide Down Circus in Cardiff are running new beginner classes in Chinese pole, an art form we have discussed in a previous blog. Chinese pole is similar to the pole we know and love but more acrobatic and on thicker, rubber-coated apparatus, mainly used in circus. It would make a fun new change for anyone looking to try something new with their pole training! It is always worth trying new styles and ideas in order to become a well rounded and multi-skilled performer so give it a go!

We want to take a moment to express our gratitude for each and every one of you who brings your passion and energy to our dance studio. Your dedication and enthusiasm make our community vibrant and thriving! We believe that having a variety of experiences and perspectives is essential for growth, both as dancers and as individuals. That's why we want to encourage you to explore and expand your dance journey beyond the comfort of the teacher and class that you love. We recognize the value of seeking out different teachers and classes to broaden your horizons. Trying new teachers, styles, techniques and approaches can enrich your dance experience and help you discover new talents and interests. Remember, other teachers might show you something in a different way than your regular teacher, offering fresh insights and perspectives that can deepen your understanding and appreciation of pole dance. So, to all our wonderful students, we want you to know that it's absolutely okay to explore other teachers and classes. In fact, we encourage it! We want you to feel empowered to seek out opportunities that inspire and challenge you. And to our dedicated instructors, thank you for creating a supportive and nurturing environment where students feel encouraged to grow and explore. Your passion and dedication are what make our dance studio truly special. Let's continue to support each other on our dance journeys and celebrate the diversity and richness of our dance community! #DanceFamily #ExploreAndGrow #DanceJourney

Anyone who knows me , I love my fitness , June this year I decided to take the plunge and try something new and challenging. I decided to try Pole Fitness, I did have reservations thinking I'm a 44 year old woman should I be doing this, but I convinced myself to give it a go...so i booked a taster lesson at https://www.poletwisters.co.uk/ and I loved it !! The confidence it has given me is tremendous, its massively helped with my anxiety, the benefits it has for your mental health and well being is fantastic, and body wise it's a great workout for your whole body . I was asked if I wanted to become a teacher, so October I took my very 1st class..who would of thought it ...not me ,never in a million years ,that in June I walked through those doors a anxious mess and now i'm a pole teacher ! I have met some lovely ladies and made some new friends along the way . So come along and see what pole can do for you,the confidence and passion its given me ... book your taster class and see where it leads https://www.poletwisters.co.uk/ #polefitness #polefit #bodyandmind #polesport #polelife
